This Sunday I went to Hard Rock Stadium to watch the Dolphins play the Bengals.
Miami lost 31-24. But the game was only one part of the day.
The tailgate before kickoff. The show between plays. The jerseys, the suites, the noise. Everything was designed so that you feel part of something, win or lose.
And I couldn’t stop thinking: fútbol is learning this playbook right now.
THE AMERICAN PLAYBOOK
July 19. MetLife Stadium. Spain beats Argentina 1-0 in extra time. And for the first time in history, the World Cup champion gets a ring.
The first halftime show at a World Cup final: Shakira, Madonna, BTS, Justin Bieber. NFL- and NBA-style championship rings. Officially licensed collectibles for fans. Private suites, pitch-side lounges and hospitality packages built like a Super Bowl.
Some fans called it the “Americanization” of futbol. I see something else.
The game is no longer only ninety minutes. It’s everything around them.
WHAT AMERICA UNDERSTOOD FIRST
The NFL and the NBA learned long ago that fans don’t just buy a game. They buy belonging. The ring, the jersey, the suite, the show: each one says “you were part of this.”
Futbol always had the passion. America added the experience. Now futbol is taking notes.
THE CFL: SAME IDEA, OUR SCALE
We never sold just a game either.
From day one, the CFL was built as experience plus community. Matchdays that feel pro. Content every week. Sponsors on the sideline. An Awards Gala. A Mastermind where the conversation goes beyond the pitch.
The difference: here, the stars are the players. An analyst, a banker, a VP. People who never stopped loving the game and deserve to live it like the pros.
EL DATO
FIFA made 30 official rings for the champions. Then it made 1,996 more for fans.
Even FIFA knows the experience is the product.
LA JUGADA
Whether you run a brand, a league or a team, stop selling only the ninety minutes. Design what happens before, during and after. That’s where people decide whether they belong.
If you could add one thing to your Saturday match, what would it be? Reply and tell me. I read every one.

We Are All Stars.
